The international music landscape saw its usual mix of holdovers and new entries this week, with Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” holding at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a 13th week, the longest-running No. 1 of the year so far.

Langley occupies three of the chart’s top four positions, with “Choosin’ Texas” at No. 1, “Be Her” at No. 3, and “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” her duet with Morgan Wallen, climbing to No. 4. Taylor Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” holds at No. 2 for a second straight week, marking its fifth week on the chart.

The rest of the top 10 stayed relatively stable this week. Tame Impala and BLACKPINK’s JENNIE reached a new peak at No. 5 with “Dracula,” now in its 41st week on the chart.

Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me” held at No. 6, Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” climbed to No. 7 in its 26th week, and Olivia Dean’s “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” rose to No. 9.

Drake’s “Janice STFU” slipped to No. 8 this week, down from No. 4 last week, after eight weeks on the chart and a previous peak at No. 1.

Beyoncé earns her 107th career Hot 100 entry this week as “Morning Dew (Donk)” debuts at No. 26, according to Rated R&B’s chart breakdown, ahead of her upcoming B’Day 20th Anniversary Edition, due on her birthday, September 4.

The same song opened at No. 4 on Hot R&B Songs and No. 7 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, marking her 33rd top 10 there. Rated R&B’s coverage of that week’s R&B charts also noted Ne-Yo’s “Up Out & Gone” holding at No. 1 on Adult R&B Airplay for a second consecutive week, and Tems breaking into the Adult R&B top 10 at No. 9 with “What You Need,” her fourth career top 10 on that list.

Beyond the Hot 100, global sporting events have shaped Billboard’s international charts this week. Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai,” the official 2026 FIFA World Cup song, jumped two spots to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 in its first week there, while holding for a third straight week atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.

Both of those are separate from the domestic Hot 100, where the song does not currently chart, a distinction worth noting given how often global and domestic chart performance get conflated in coverage of World Cup-tied releases.

On the Billboard 200, this week’s most notable story is a genuine milestone rather than a nostalgia wave: Madonna’s Confessions II debuts at No. 1, giving her a 10th Billboard 200 chart-topping album.

That places her alongside only The Beatles, Drake, and Taylor Swift as artists with 10 or more No. 1s on both the Billboard 200 and the Hot 100.

It marks her first Billboard 200 leader since Madame X in 2019, and her first No. 1 album of any kind since Like a Virgin in 1985, a four-decade gap between her first and most recent chart-topping records.

The Hot 100 also saw a wave of catalog reentries this week, tied to both the July 4 holiday and continued attention around the FIFA World Cup, according to Billboard’s own chart highlights roundup.

Toby Keith led that group of nine reentering classics, joined by returning tracks from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey, and John Denver, a pattern Billboard has tied specifically to holiday-driven listening spikes rather than any broader shift in how older catalog material performs across the year.

Taken together, this week’s charts reflect a mix of long-running dominance, modest new-release activity, and one genuinely rare milestone, rather than a single unifying trend.

Langley’s extended run continues largely uncontested, Beyoncé’s debut functions as a lead-in to a bigger upcoming release rather than a chart event on its own.

Madonna’s entry into a very short list of repeat No. 1 album artists stands out as the week’s most historically significant development.

For a full rundown of this week’s chart movement, Billboard’s own Hot 100 Top 10 Countdown video covers the complete top 10 in detail.
