‘Naughty Stuff’ Did Rita Ora and Brandy Get Into the Descendants Set

Rita Ora is looking back fondly on reuniting with Brandy for “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland,” the fifth film in Disney’s long-running “Descendants” franchise.

Ora, who reprises her role as the Queen of Hearts opposite Brandy’s Cinderella, has said the two got into “so much naughty stuff” while filming together on set.

The comment comes as the film heads toward its release: “Descendants: Wicked Wonderland” premieres on Disney Channel on Thursday, July 16, and begins streaming on Disney+ the following day.

The cast, including Ora and Brandy, walked the red carpet for the film’s premiere on July 14 at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.

That dynamic appears to have carried into “Wicked Wonderland,” where the Queen of Hearts has since reformed and the two characters share a duet, “The Girl I Used to Be.”

Kimmy Gatewood directs from a script by Tamara Chestna, Dan Frey, and Ru Sommer, with choreography by Emmy winner Emilio Dosal.

The “Descendants” franchise has been a ratings powerhouse for Disney Channel since 2015, and “The Rise of Red” was Disney+’s most-watched original movie of 2024.

Ora and Brandy’s on-screen chemistry has been part of that draw, with both actors giving interviews over the past two years about their real-life friendship and mutual admiration.
