Crunchyroll’s Fall 2026 Anime Lineup Has Black Clover Season 2, Firefly Wedding and PSYREN

Anime fans worldwide are celebrating after streaming giant Crunchyroll officially unveiled its explosive Fall 2026 programming schedule.

Packing over forty series into its autumn catalog, the platform is delivering an unprecedented mix of legendary returning sequels, long-requested cult adaptations, and fresh dark romance hits.

Anchored by the long-awaited return of Studio Pierrot’s Black Clover Season 2 and the first-ever animated adaptation of PSYREN, the upcoming fall slate stands out as one of the most stacked streaming lineups in recent anime history.

Leading the charge for action enthusiasts is Black Clover Season 2, set to make its grand premiere on October 3.

Picking up during the harrowing Spade Kingdom Raid arc, the new season follows protagonist Asta and the Magic Knights as they launch a high-stakes infiltration mission to rescue their captured squad captains from the tyrannical Dark Triad.

Fans have waited years for Studio Pierrot to bring the manga’s most intense war arc to life, and early teaser footage promises top-tier animation quality, explosive magic battles, and emotional character payoffs.

Equal excitement surrounds the surprise announcement of PSYREN, adapting Toshiaki Iwashiro’s beloved Shonen Jump manga series.

Produced by studio Satelight, the sci-fi action thriller follows high schooler Ageha Yoshina as he gets pulled into a deadly alternate world while searching for a missing classmate.

Anime readers have championed a televised adaptation for over a decade, making its official inclusion in the Fall 2026 schedule a massive victory for veteran manga fans.

On the romance and suspense front, david production’s adaptation of Firefly Wedding arrives on October 9.

Set in the Meiji era, the story follows Satoko Kirigaya, a terminally ill noblewoman who proposes a shocking marriage arrangement to her assassin kidnapper, Shinpei Goto, in a desperate bid to survive.

Directed by Takahiro Kamei with scripts by Yuko Kakihara, the series mixes psychological intrigue, dark romance, and breathtaking historical aesthetics.

The fall catalog also highlights the return of critically acclaimed hits like The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 on October 2, following Maomao as she investigates mysterious rumors of famine and immortality.

Additionally, high-profile premieres like J.C.STAFF’s virtual reality blacksmithing journey Overgeared on September 27 and Passione’s financial thriller FX Fighter Kurumi-chan on October 1 expand the platform’s diverse genre offerings.
