Ben Affleck’s Kidnapped Son forces L.A. Mayoral Candidate Into Dark Secrets in Shocking Netflix ‘Animals’ Trailer

Hollywood powerhouse Ben Affleck is officially returning behind and in front of the camera for his most intense cinematic project yet.

Netflix has officially unveiled the thrilling trailer for Animals, a dark political crime thriller that rapidly set search engines ablaze following its release.

Directed by Affleck and written alongside Connor McIntyre and Billy Ray, the high-stakes narrative thrusts viewers into a heart-pounding race against time.

The story centers on a prominent Los Angeles mayoral candidate whose world shatters when his young son is suddenly abducted in a terrifying extortion scheme.

The dramatic teaser gives eager audiences a haunting glimpse into a high-stakes campaign pushed to the brink of collapse.

Playing the desperate candidate, Affleck portrays a man standing on the threshold of massive political power, only to be dragged into a nightmarish underground reality.

With the kidnappers demanding a massive ransom payment within a strict window of a few hours, the candidate and his wife quickly realize a devastating truth, their financial resources have been completely drained by the grueling mayoral campaign.

Left with zero official options and unwilling to rely on standard law enforcement channels that could jeopardize their son’s safety, the desperate parents are forced to get their hands dirty.

To raise the required ransom cash before time runs out, the couple must dig deep into dangerous financial cover-ups and expose a dark side of their private lives that they never intended to see the light of day.

The intense story explores how far loving parents will go when pushed past their moral limits, shedding light on the corrupt intersection of extreme wealth, political ambition, and street-level crime.

Reuniting key creative minds through Artists Equity, the production company founded by Affleck and Matt Damon, Animals delivers a star-studded ensemble cast that elevates the project into an immediate must-watch event.

Alongside Affleck’s lead performance, acclaimed actress Gillian Anderson stars as his sharp political partner, while Kerry Washington and Ray Fisher deliver powerful supporting roles that add deep layers of intrigue to the unfolding mystery.

Every scene in the trailer builds palpable tension as the ticking clock drives the lead characters toward irreversible choices.

Movie insiders and streaming analysts note that the overwhelming online reaction points toward Animals becoming one of the biggest streaming hits of the entire year.
