Grammy-nominated Australian singer and pop artist Troye Sivan officially kicked off the campaign for his fourth studio album on August 14, 2026, with the release of his new single, “She’s the Best.”

The track was co-written and produced alongside Jack Antonoff, George Daniel of The 1975, Leland, and Styalz Fuego.

It also features a subtle, uncredited vocal cameo from Sivan’s longtime friend and collaborator Charli XCX, who married producer George Daniel in September 2025.

Lyrically, Sivan describes “She’s the Best” as an intentional ode to the women, trans women, drag performers, and feminine figures who have anchored his personal life and creative journey.

In public statements surrounding the release, the singer noted that after years of introspective writing focused on romance and personal relationships, he wanted to write a song celebrating the enduring stability of his female friendships.

To complement the sonic transition, Sivan reunited with director Gordon Von Steiner who previously directed his music videos for “Rush,” “Got Me Started,” and “One of Your Girls” to create an ambitious visual project.

Inspired by the high-fashion editorial aesthetics of 1980s queer New York culture, the video features a headline appearance from Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman.

The visual collaboration marks a reunion for Sivan and Kidman, who previously co-starred in the 2018 biographical drama Boy Erased.

Sivan revealed that he reached out directly to Kidman with a personal note explaining the song’s celebration of the divine feminine before she agreed to join the production.

Joining Kidman in the video are drag icon Sasha Colby and Sivan’s sister, Sage Mellet.

The release of “She’s the Best” represents Sivan’s first project under his new record deal with Interscope Records. The forthcoming 12-track album is described as an immersive body of work exploring identity, solitude, joy, and queer belonging.

With physical pre-orders now live and early streaming numbers building momentum, Sivan’s choice to lead with an unconventional trip-hop tribute sets a distinct creative direction for his fall 2026 album rollout.
